Banjaard beach

Banjaard beach

One of the widest and cleanest beaches in the Netherlands, just a few minutes' walk from your villa. Enjoy a pleasant day at the beach, build sandcastles, take a refreshing dip or go for a lovely walk. The beach is a real family beach with beach houses, several beach pavilions and an active lifeguard.

Beach of Vrouwenpolder

A few kilometres from the Banjaard beach you will find the vast beach of Vrouwenpolder. The beach is perfect for a summer day. Highly recommended for children is the large beach playground at beach restaurant De DAM. And while they play, you can enjoy a bite and a drink at the beach restaurant.

Neeltje Jans

The beach is perfect if you want to enjoy a day at the beach with your four-legged friend. Your dog is also welcome here in summer, as long as he is on a leash. The beach is located on the former working island of the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier and overlooks the pillars of the barrier.

Beach cabin rental

In the period from mid-May to mid-September, you can rent a beach cabin at Z'ANDvillas. The beach cabin is located on the Banjaard beach and has two beach chairs and a windbreak. Add a beach cabin to your reservation and enjoy your own piece of Banjaard beach.

Horseback ride at the beach

Horse riding on the beach

The beach is not only perfect for walking or sunbathing, but also for horse riding on the beach. Experience freedom, peace and nature. Gallop across the wide Banjaard beach and through the dunes, with the sound of the sea in the background. A unique experience on the coast of Zeeland!

Seal spotting National Park the Netherlands

Seal spotting

Get a breath of fresh air on Neeltje Jans, an island halfway along the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier. This nature reserve is one of the youngest nature reserves in the Netherlands and the perfect location for seal spotting. Tip: the seals often laze about in the bay near the large windmill.
